The best time for a wellness visit
is when you’re not sick.
The best time for a wellness visit
is when you’re not sick.
A very old statement, but still valid today, which is why you should always get your annual wellness checkup. It's a visit that could easily save your life by preventing something like undiagnosed heart disease or diabetes from getting much worse. Plus, it's 100% covered by most insurance providers. There's really no reason not to have your wellness visit.
If you haven't seen a healthcare provider in a while, give yourself and your family peace of mind by scheduling a checkup. It could be a life-or-death decision — literally.

Good Faith Estimates
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your services will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for provided items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
