Qualifications (req)

*1. Possess a valid Mississippi Nursing License

*2. Possess a minimum of one year of work experience in the health care area 

*3. Possess good verbal and written communication skills 

*4. Possess organizational and time management skills, and the ability to communicate well with children, parents, school faculty and administration 

*5. Possess the ability to work independently according to all nursing practice standards 

*6. Certified in CPR (or obtain within 6 months of hire)

*7. Use a computer and various software applications

Description & Duties

*1. Provide health assessments 

a. Obtain a health/social history 

b. Screen and evaluate findings of deficit in vision, hearing, scoliosis, growth, etc., as directed 

c. Observe students as required for development and health patterns or concerns 

d. Participate in school registration process to procure parental consent and health insurance information

*2. Provide consultation in the formation of health policies, goals, and objective for the school district

a.  Provides documentation in a confidential individual electronic health record of care provided

b. Interpret the health status of students to parents and school personnel 

c. Initiate and follow referrals for intervention and/or remediation as needed

d. Plan and implement school health management protocols 

e. Provides ongoing health counseling with students, parents, school personnel or health agencies.

* 3. Provide direct nursing intervention 

a. Administer appropriate level of first aid for illness and injury including CPR

b. Administer/supervise medication per doctors’ orders and monitor the effects 

c. Provide individual health counseling concerning high-risk behaviors such as pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and substance abuse in order to facilitate responsible decision making practices

d. Perform skilled nursing functions  

e. Assist the Nurse Practitioner/Provider in the screenings, assessment and treatment 

f. Utilize existing resources to provide appropriate care of students, staff or the community 

Front Office Receptionist- Dental Clinic FT

Qualifications (reqd)*

1+ years of experience as a Dental/Medical Receptionist

*High School Diploma required, Associates Degree preferred

*Experience with scheduling, re-scheduling and an electronic medical recordsystem

*Good telephone etiquette

*Exceptional Organizational skills

*HIPAA Compliance patient privacy rules experience

Qualifications (pref)

*Experience work in dental office a plus

*Proficient in Dentrix software a plus

*Experience as a dental assistant preferred

*Dental X-ray certification preferred

Description & Duties

*Greeting and welcoming patients

*Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed

*Preparing patients' charts and daily schedules for the dental staff

*Verifying insurance/method of payments, collecting payments and copays

*Performing general office duties, answering phone, confirm appointments and messages via phone or software

*Cross train to perform dental assistant duties, stock operatory, cleaning and sterilizing dental instruments as needed

Family Nurse Practitioner- Full Time

Current certification as a family nurse practitioner

*Available to work Monday and Tuesday set schedule, with options to float.

Previous healthcare experience as a provider

Description & Duties

• The nurse practitioner providesdirect medical care to patients across the lifespan who seek professional health services at ACCESS School Clinic in compliance with the approved Mississippi Board of Nursing’s Advanced Practice protocols.

• Demonstratecompetencies specific to the area of certification as a nurse practitioner (students, facility, family, adult, women’s health).

• Demonstrates leadership through involvement in team projects, education and services*Participates in community organizations and events
